Are you looking to deepen your practice in a unique holistic community? We are excited to offer our School of Sankalpa Immersion Program in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. We invite you to join us for a week of growth and sharing centered around the principles of the School of Sankalpa and in harmony with nature in the beauty of the Folk Tree Lodge. Immersion style learning encourages us to set aside our daily distractions and dive into the experience of exploring mental and emotional patterns, embracing the joy and delight of the experience of life, love and community, moving towards greater perception and elevated consciousness. Each day offers fresh organic vegetarian meals mixed with a balance of module offerings, dialogue, nidra experiences, optional self-guided yoga practices and self reflection. We encourage time for self exploration, reflection and journaling whether it be in nature right on the retreat centre or indoors in the many common areas and private spaces. Evening satsang offer a time to gather to share and reflect our truths, and celebrate our time together.
The Teachings: Modules 1,2&3 all offered in this week!
Humanities quest for the true self is the foundation of all wisdom teachings. Yet often, the path towards self-realization is a steady uncovering and deep study of who we are not. Only then, when we illuminate all the personal content of our consciousness and shift our awareness to the impersonal stream of pure consciousness itself, will we be liberated into our own freedom. In these 3 modules, we will explore the ancient practice of yoga nidra, both as a practice and as a state of consciousness. We will also experience somatic prepatory movement techniques for full embodiment, and meditation for connection to soul. This course is for yoga teachers who are interested in offering Yoga Nidra, as well as for practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of the practice, and skillfully interact with the intelligent life force.
Yoga Nidra is a systematic relaxation practice that guides practitioners to an expanded state of awareness beyond the 5 senses. This wisdom teaching is a portal into one's authentic nature, where the timeless self resides.
Module 1: Ancient Wisdom & Modern Science Yoga Nidra is a system of deep relaxation that guides practitioners to an expanded state to emerge with the field of consciousness that lies beyond the 5 senses. This wisdom teaching is a portal into one's authentic nature, where the timeless Self resides. In this course we will study and explore different states of consciousness and the corresponding brain states that give us access to the information available at those frequencies. This understanding reveals the sacredness of present moment time, and the power of visualization, as well as uncovers a deeper understanding of who we are as beings. Tracking time in quieter brain states will be encouraged, and observer consciousness will be awakened.
Module 2: Belief Systems -Seeing Beyond States of consciousness are awakened that can be used to shift outdated structures of the psyche known as belief systems, with a precious seed known as Sankalpa. Beliefs act as data filters on how we take in information to understand our world, how we perceive our options, and how we feel about ourselves and others. By specifically identifying and re-programming our core limiting beliefs, we look to remove self-imposed limitations to our current reality and re-align with self-affirming beliefs that allow for a more fulfilling experience of life. A change in belief causes a paradigm shift in perception of reality and can enhance your life and lead you to living in a more positive light. Each practitioner will receive their personal priority belief to work with via subconscious energetic measuring.
Module 3: Teach Yoga Nidra The seat is prepared to teach from what is known. Practitioners are supported in the journey to the teachers seat, where their own experiences in personal growth can transform into shared wisdom. An in-depth exploration in script writing from various perspectives including basic nidra scripts as well as creative script writing. Teachers will be offered both philosophy of teaching and the deep experience of guiding practices with in the moment feedback for a greater understanding of your gifts and growing edge as a teacher.
